I helped build a Content Management System (The core product) of Homna.com, producing business insights that generated $40K in revenue.

Initial value created • Built Trustious.com to become (1) a $3MM business, attracting ~500K unique monthly visits, and (2) an established 30-employee company. People management • Supervised seven different teams to develop a smooth product experience and maintain teams’ operating efficiency. • Interviewed, recruited, and led a team of 2 information architects, 2 data engineers, a product manager, a software engineer, and 3 data management specialists. User acquisition • Acquired 37K users and 45K reviews, the highest number in Egypt in 2014. • Created (Rasha7ly Ketab), the 3rd largest Arabic online reading initiative with 230K+ members, contributing to Trustious.com content marketing strategy. Business development • Generated a contract-based revenue of $140K/year. • Developed business insights through analyzing one category’s content using Python, resulting in a 20% increase in revenue. Fundraising • Secured $830K in seed funding (less than 7% of startups make it to that stage in Egypt, according to MENABytes). Selling the business • Coordinated a sale of Trustious.com's recommender engine to Microsoft Azure through a government bid.
