  • Intern

    2009 - 2010

At the SIGMA laboratory, I was involved in finding a machine learning approach to classifying neocortical interneurons. Work was done on feature selection through Gram Schmidt Orthogonalisation and the classification was done by applying PCA, LDA, SVMs and neural networks. The work was carried out on Matlab.

Institute of Biomedical Engineering, Imperial College

2009 - 2009

  • Intern Student

    2009 - 2009

During my time at IBE I worked with a PhD student on the characterisation of platinum electrodes to be applied to the vagus nerve. This experience gave me a firm grasp of basic electrochemical techniques and also gave me the opportunity to create representative circuits to model the electrodes.
