Led investments in +110 companies, becoming the most active VC in Southern Europe in 2021 (Source: Pitchbook) Also involved in portfolio management, led negotiations in acquisitions and secondary sales from the seller’s side. Highest sale at €120 million valuation.

Led the Incubation Program with presence in Spain, Portugal, Poland, Belarus, Ukraine, Hungary and Greece. Managing a team of 35+ people across 11 cities, with 500+ entrepreneurs in residence and 150+ startups. Led Demium Virtual Program, implemented as a measure to work remotely during the Covid-19 period and beyond.

After the acquisition of Food Messenger, launched Foodora platform with +100 partnering restaurants and food delivery fleet in Madrid and Barcelona. Venture globally led by Marc Samwer, learnt how to execute with speed and impact. Built and led a multicultural team with focus on sales and operations. Developed sales argumentation, sales process and trained commercial team in sales execution. Foodora was acquired by Delivery Hero in September 2015.

Alvaro was the national coach of the women's team and represented UK in Calgary 2008 World Championship. Helped to develop the UK padel federation with Javier Yelo and president Brian Thomson.
