A full-time employee of the University and full Professor status despite only teaching classes on VC part-time for the premier and oldest university of Southern California. Brought a steady flow of VCs and accomplished VC-backed entrepreneurs to campus as guest speakers. No longer teaching officially, but I am still a big supporter of Chapman University and their VC & and entrepreneurship program. We have hired former students from Chapman at 7BC and continue to speak at universities around the globe.

The Founders Club was an innovative venture capital equity exchange fund and made direct secondary growth stage investments providing cash liquidity to founders and early investors in later-stage companies. Founders of VC-backed startups exchanged up to 10% of their founder stock for an LP interest of a Limited Partnership that commingled shares from up to 25 VC backed startups. We were backed by 43 VCs on our advisory board including NEA and DFJ. Operated under a US broker dealer with FINRA certifications when brokering the sale of secondaries. Developed unique insight into how to best sell secondaries for maximum value. This unique secondaries experience enables 7BC today to execute a secondary selling strategy to return LP fund capital to our LPs faster than almost any other VC. This is highly complicated. It is not easy and we know how to do it.
