Recruited as the fifth employee to participate in translating Constellation’s venture-backed scientific business plan into a drug discovery platform capable of rapidly delivering novel epigenetic drugs to market. Built and led teams of full-time and contract engineers implementing a novel software product line, called Northstar, which catalyzed the delivery of small molecule drugs through the discovery pipeline into Phase I clinical trials. Led the design and build-out of Constellation’s IT infrastructure while adhering to tight budgets and timelines providing a roadmap allowing for support of 80 FTEs, ~40 external resources, and a subsequent $95MM collaboration with a large global pharmaceutical. Impact: Supported all technology needs of Constellation’s business plan under aggressive timelines and budget

Created and managed the development team fulfilling the software needs of the drug repositioning platform by architecting a software solution supporting scientific study design, data acquisition, and data analysis using a patterns-based software architecture. Impact: Played a lead role in delivering a Transdermal Drug-Delivery Platform for high-profile collaboration, leading to the acquisition of Transform by J&J for $230MM. • Developed project plan communicating developmental milestones and resource allocation to management team. • Architected high-level software design for the Transdermal platform. • Participated in a cross-functional group steering scientific and engineering resources to support platform build efforts across the company. • Collaborated with mechanical/automation engineering staff to define hardware specifications required for the robotic components of the platform. • Worked with QA leads to ensure superior software reliability and data integrity. • Wrote and reviewed software specification and user documentation.

Worked on the Unified Communications offering that allows telecom providers to deliver seamless mobile and PC-based voice and data communications to small- and medium-sized businesses inside and outside the office setting. Comverse’s customer base spaned more than 130 countries and covers over 500 communication service providers serving more than two billion subscribers.
