I work with a growing pool of very early-stage companies, investing and helping them with any/many of the; business development, fundraising, recruiting, marketing, and product strategy. Sometimes, I raise SPVs together with a few distinguished professionals and angel investors who can provide value.

I was the first person to join Marathon to assist in finding investors for the fund. Marathon (I) has yielded returns more than twice its size, while it has raised more than €100m across two funds. From my position as a deal flow expert, I had the privilege to screen ~1k startups per year and the chance to uncover some of the most successful companies founded by Greeks while introducing a good part of them to Marathon's portfolio, including Augmenta (acquired for $110m by CNHI), Causaly ($60m Series-B by ICONIQ), Hack The Box ($55m Series-B by Carlyle Group), and Learnworlds ($32m Series-A by Insight Venture Partners).

My duties included everything from sourcing the investors, to on-boarding them, to managing their accounts and executing the underlying strategies taking into account their high-level or specific guidance, as it varied per case. Our investing portfolio consisted of Stocks and ETFs and was guided towards value creation.

Ownfunding is a secondary market for startup equities. The platform creates liquidity to early investors and the opportunity for anyone to invest in a private pre-IPO company with a discount. In order to facilitate these needs, we have introduced a trading platform, where start-ups can launch IPO-like equity offerings and shares can be traded 24/7. I've turned the initial idea to detailed product specs, over-viewing their implementation, while working on the legal and business framework of their facilitation.
