Arthena is the first company to offer pricing guarantees for art pieces. These pieces sell for between $1MM - $10MM. - Improved accuracy of core art pricing task ~30% relative in a month. New architecture requires fewer features than prior model and can be trained ~60x faster. Prior model had been in development for almost a year (moderately strong baseline). - Model has been integrated and is being used by the team. Model improves expected profit margin for the investment product by X2% absolute. - Architected a multi-year deep learning roadmap describing the path to strongly exceeding human performance. - Was structured as contract work - returned to Google specifically for the language learning project (above).

Built world-class voice search for e-commerce companies. Imagine using your voice and a cellphone to search and purchase products - that's the experience that we made possible. Competed against the best in the world, made customers happy but didn't have a path to winning the market (backed by YC, Pear and Zhenfund). Wrote a beautiful technical stack that I still miss.
