  • Partnerships Director (UK & EU)- One of Europe's Fastest Growing InsurTech Startups

    2016 - 2022

What am I doing? I’m working with world-class software engineers, leading innovators from the insurance industry and founders who have come from Google and Yahoo! and am tasked with expanding out partnerships across Europe and then North America. This includes responsibility for the overall management of all Strategic and Operational Customer Relationship activities and owning the management of the technology sales functions of the business. As the business expands, I will also tackle penetration of new markets whilst managing sales objectives, strategies, promotional programs to ensure execution. Why am I Excited about InsurTech?! Insurance is a highly antiquated, regulated, and entrenched industry, which make it both appealing and problematic for startups. VCs and entrepreneurs see three key problems in the insurance world that make it ripe for a shakeup, First, it’s a simply massive market. Second, it’s broken—the business model focuses on eliminating risk, not helping customers when they need it. And, lastly, it’s remains untouched. At its core, insurance today is similar to how it was 50 years ago. #Opportunity #Disruption #InsTech __________ We apply patent-pending technology and multivariate testing to optimise the profitability of insurance as an ancillary revenue line. Our first brand is RentalCover.com, a specialist distributor of car rental insurance. Our clients are the largest online travel agents (OTAs) globally. http://www.CoverGenius.biz http://RentalCover.com Interested in selling insurance on your site? Email partnerships@covergenius.biz

2019 - 2022

  • Co-Founder & Venture Partner

    2019 - 2022

We are a community-powered, industry agnostic VC fund investing in Australian and New Zealand based startups that have $100m+ revenue ambition. We invest at the earliest stages, once you’re ready to turn “after work” into “work work”. Our investment process is imbued with a deep respect for founders’ time, intel, and courage. Founders are frequently subject to hellish, drawn-out due diligence processes, only to be unceremoniously knocked back despite their best efforts. We made a commitment to turn up for founders, and have designed a highly transparent process which adds value at every step. Our community is rallied around a shared goal: to invest in the next generation of Australia and New Zealand startups at the very earliest stage, and then support them on their long and arduous journey from improbability to outlier success. Our hivemind is our bedrock and our edge.
