Demetri Michalakis is a recognized international investor in the energy, medical research and well-known commodities trader. 2000-2006 Investing and assuming an active role in investment baking ad hedge fund management including acquisition and operation of banks and foundation of multi-billion dollars hedge funds. Within six years accumulated $6 billion funding towards the new venture initiatives. Over the years the maritime investments account to a few billion dollars of investment even during the period of recession in the industry.

1992 – 2007 Founded Inter-M as a private equity fund family office. With 15 years of operation the fund raised over $25 billion dollars capital investing in the Energy sector involving funding numerous oil exploration projects in United States, Gulf of Mexico, Europe and Middle East and Africa. Apart from capital raising assignments and managing the delivery of the investments the activities required acute financial structures with other hedge funds and banks located in the US, Europe and Asia.
