• Conducted the first crewed flight to space from American soil since the retirement of the space shuttle • Flew first female mission specialist on a commercial space vehicle • Grew company employment from ~30 people to 900+ people (direct and contractor) • Built fully vertically-integrated aerospace organization, including design, engineering, manufacturing, ground and flight test, commercial operations and support • Completed build of and brought into flight operational readiness the world’s first commercial spaceport at Spaceport America, New Mexico • Took the company public on the NYSE, the first pure human spaceflight company to do so • Raised more than $2.5 billion in primary and secondary capital • Built SpaceshipTwo Unity vehicle with in-house manufacturing team • Flight test experience – responsible for multi-year, piloted flight test program: o 19 flights of Spaceship Unity with direct oversight and 37 flights of Spaceship Enterprise as customer of Scaled Composites (captive, glide and powered) • Ground test experience o Established independent rocket propulsion team o Successfully developed first human-rated hybrid rocket propulsion system o Established full materials and large-scale test program for structures and avionics • Initiated and funded orbital satellite launch project in 2011, grew to 350 staff, and spun-out in 2017.
