    Udtara Venture is a family office fund of KP group. The group has a vintage of more than 5 decades, having its third generation controlling operations and management of various entities of the group. They have been an active investor in growth companies, having a diversified portfolio across consumer goods, logistics, distribution and real estate sector. Overall group net worth is poised around USD 5 Bn. across businesses. We decided to create a dedicated proprietary fund to invest in early-stage tech opportunities, seeking to raise Seed, Bridge or Pre-Series A investments. We are a sector agnostic fund with an initial ticket size ranges from INR 0.50 Lakhs to 10 Cr., with a capacity to participate in the follow-on round with a ticket size ranging from INR 10 to 25 Cr. Given the fund mandate, we are open to co-invest in Series A stage as well. Also, we are actively looking to invest directly in the Early stage VC funds as well in the range of INR 10 to 15 Cr. cheque size. The fund came into existence in the month of March-2020 and we have made 6 investments, deploying INR 36+ Crore till date. Our current portfolio is diversified across Online Gaming, SAAS, Deep-tech, Defence Tech, Consumer Goods and Payment sectors."
