    Telefónica is one of the world’s largest telecom companies with over 300 million subscribers in 20 countries in Europe and Latin America (operating under the brands O2, Movistar and VIVO). Telefonica Digital, headquartered in London, was charged with facilitating digital transformation across the organization. I negotiated, structured, drafted and closed agreements with strategic partners for deployment within the global footprint. Collaborated with corporate development as a bridge to commercial opportunities. Senior leader of the Silicon Valley office at the time I left to build a family investment office.

    Held successive roles in security technology player as it grew from early-stage startup to IPO, including marketing, product management, investor relations, strategic business development, BU general management. Certicom built and standardized some of the fundamental building blocks of today's security industry. I launched the world's first mobile VPN product in partnership with Microsoft, Checkpoint, Cisco, Palm, HP, Nortel and several others. Drove ecosystem project (Visa, MasterCard, US Treasury, Zion's Bank, Schlumberger) that brought together elliptic curve crypto, smartcards, e-commerce as a necessary step for technology standardization. Oversaw acquisition of smaller players to accelerate growth. Helped take the company public in Canada, expand to US with opening of Silicon Valley office, and expand to Europe.
