As Director of Operations, I managed a small team focused on onboarding and maintaining API and Feed integrations with over 40 different publishing partners, as well as the analytics team responsible for all data generated from those integrations.

The company delivers English-language summaries of worldwide local press and media to financial services clients and wide range of online subscribers. The Company was formerly known as Coverago. As Managing Director, Product Dev, I was an active member of the management team and the head of the product development group. I reported directly to the CEO. As MD, Product Dev, I retained product management responsibility for all products and gained management responsibility for a five member product development team, including back-end engineers, a front-end engineer and a designer. I encouraged a culture of openness, collaboration, and rapid iteration among the product development team and I collaborated with managers and their teams across the organization to develop product roadmaps, generate consensus on new product development efforts and ensure coordination among departments. I was promoted from an individual contributor role as Director, Product Management to a managerial role with a significant strategic component as Managing Director, Product Development in July 2012.

As Director, Product Management, I was a member of the company's management team, and worked under, and closely, with our SVP, Product Development. As Director, Product Management, I focused on multiple projects including development of both internal tools and the online product. With respect to the online product, I managed design and development of the entire ecosystem and also and oversaw search engine marketing efforts. As part of those efforts, I developed a range of materials supporting the business case for the online product (models, presentations, etc.), and led development of landing pages, sign-up processes, account management functionality and subscription options. I had also outlined plans for a freemium product set and a revamped user experience. Additionally, I managed design and development of an internal knowledge database and a set of internal productivity tools, including collaboration tools and an automated news collection and processing system.

The company delivers English-language summaries of worldwide local press and media to financial services clients and wide range of online subscribers. At the time I held this role, the company also had products centered around an international corporate documents database and an M&A documents database. As Director, Business Development, my primary role was as product evangelist and salesman and I worked directly under the CEO to drive interest, trials and sales for an entirely new type of product. As a result of that effort, I was able to generate accounts and feedback loops in various user-bases including hedge funds, law firms and corporations. I coordinated closely with several internal divisions, including operations, information, engineering and product management to close deals, advance product design and further product marketing efforts. As part of those marketing efforts, I introduced and oversaw firm SEO and SEM efforts, as well as all social media advertising. Additionally, I was the employee manager of Advisory Board program; interacting with, and maintaining, the company’s relationship with lead-generating senior professionals from various industries

As an associate at IGC, I was an active member of the 10-person US technology investment team; focused on hardware, software and internet investments in growth-stage private companies. I played various roles in the organization and worked on all elements of transactions from outbound sourcing and deal pipeline development, to due diligence and execution of new investments, to financial modeling, industry research and portfolio company support. I was a due diligence team member on several investments across the technology sector, with participation in active management of portfolio and deep interaction with management teams.
