Online Gaming has added a social layer on top of what gaming used to be. Gamers are less and less alone while playing, since most games rely on teaming up and socializing to achieve objectives: MOBAs (League of Legends, Heroes of the Storm…), FPS (Counter-strike, Call of Duty, Battlefield…), Sport (Fifa, NBA2K), MMORPG (World of Warcraft, Guild Wars…) and competitive gaming in all its form. Because of the multiplication of gaming support and the ever-present need of creating a group in order to play, every platform has created its own version of in-app discussion, sometimes leading up to 3 layers of chat for a single game. So we decided to build Pingg — A game dedicated messaging service to stay in touch with your gaming friends anywhere, any time, without sharing private information.
