    NRDC’s China Sustainable Cities Project (CSC) has been advising and advocating for sustainable urbanization in China for more than 10 years. CSC shares international experiences in sustainable urban development, provides capacity building for local policymakers, and advocates for smart growth solutions. - Managed a team of 5 staff and interns to advance the China Walkability Project - Led fundamental methodology improvements for the excel-based Chinese city walkability indicator system model. - Coordinated the creation of a five-year strategic plan for the China Sustainable Cities Project. - Researched urban energy use, demand-side management, green buildings, building energy benchmarking, low-carbon transportation especially walking and biking, compost and biogas, and the impact of Chinese urban development on carbon emissions, public health, and urban waste management. - Provided suggestions.for sustainable urban development policy solutions and best practices. - Wrote the Introduction chapter, proofread the Chinese-to-English translation, and finalized the English version of a 50+ page report on the climate impacts of Chinese urbanization.
