New Energy is the innovation department within Essent. This department works on strategic innovations within the energy sector such as energy management, developments in the area of biomass applications and sustainable mobility. As business analyst within the biobased economy team I was responsible for: • Identification and evaluation of relevant market developments; • Developing and validating new business models, business cases and pilot projects; • Business & Economics around the re-opening of a biomass plant (25MWel) and realization of a biobased economy park; • Portfolio management reporting; • Maintaining relations with knowledge institutions, government agencies and other businesses; • Coordinating subsidy requests such as SDE+, Green Deals and TKI;
