2015 - 2016

  • Software Engineer

    2015 - 2016

    - Setup data pipeline from scratch that enabled non tech teams to query data and generate reports themselves instead of being dependent on developers. - Helped launch dynamic pricing for hotels depending on various factors including weather, day of the week, availability, occupancy, local events, seasonality and many others - Launched personalisation and price drop alerts that required us to keep a record of all hotel pricing viewed by users at any time and run big data algorithms on top of it. - Was a core team member of the early team that wrote the initial backend logic and integrated various payment gateways. Was also responsible for currency and price conversion module for international launch. My time at OYO helped me understand how systems work at scale and introduced me to some amazing minds who are now friends for life.

2014 - 2015

  • Data Engineer

    2014 - 2015

Worked at Wincere Solutions Pvt. Ltd which is primarily a Clinical Research organisation providing consultancy services on accelerating the process of clinical trials. I have been working here as a Data Scientist in a completely new, dynamic and innovative Data Analytics team. We are working towards finding solutions to ever increasing need of Storage, transformation and analysis of high volumes of data in as diverse fields as e-commerce, Clinical trials, social media sentiment analysis, on-line click stream, and sensor data to name a few.

2013 - 2013

  • Analysis of acetic acid and Lugol’s Iodine images in Colposcopic

    2013 - 2013

Machine learning and image processing Algorithms were used to extract Region of Interest and remove glared regions in Colposcopic images. A novel method was implemented to detect Epithelial Region. Algorithm to detect uptake region in Lugol's Iodine image was developed. The technique also differentiated between 3% and 5% Lugol's Iodine image with a very high precision.

  • Moving Object Tracking, Face detection and Face Feature Identification in Real-Time

    2013 - 2013

As the B. Tech. Project 2 under Prof. Somnath Sengupta, E & ECE dept., IIT KGP, I used object tracking techniques to detect specific objects in a still frame. Tracked moving objects in real-time using background subtraction. Developed unique template-cum-optical flow method to identify face features in real-time.

  • Space-time Surface Reconstruction

    2012 - 2012

As the B. Tech. Project 1 under Prof. Somnath Sengupta, E & ECE dept., IIT KGP, I used Delaunay triangulation and greedy algorithms to generate surface from point cloud data present in different formats. Used image processing techniques to reconstruct surfaces from occluded data on visual studio (using openCV) and MATLAB platforms.

  • Photoemission Spectroscopy: theoretical approaches for model and real systems

    2012 - 2012

Under Prof. Lucia Reining at the "Irradiated Solids Laboratory (LSI)", Ecole Polytechnique, Paris as a summer intern during May-July 2012, I obtained the Band Gap and Band Structure of SiC by optimizing various parameters of the molecule via simulation on ABINIT. We also calculated and plotted the Electron Energy Loss (EELS) and the Macro Dielectric Function (MDF) by writing codes on software named dp (Dielectric Properties).
