Managing the execution of sell-side and buy-side M&A projects, public and private offerings of equity, quasi-equity and bonds, valuation fairness opinions etc. Corporate finance project management involves teamwork and includes the organization of a professional sales process, developing business- and financial plans, industry benchmarking and analysis, drafting commercial documents such as information memoranda, attracting candidate buyers/investors, organization of due diligence processes, analysis of due diligence findings, valuation or rating and pricing analysis, cooperating with specialist advisors and legal advisors, aligning seller and buyer demands and negotiation of terms and conditions. Degroof Petercam Corporate Finance focuses generally on mid-market deals with deal values ranging between EUR 15 - EUR 300m. Internship - In-company project

2004 - 2004

For Sydes, an investment fund part of newspaper and media group Corelio (today part of Mediahuis), I was assigned to a financial analysis of the individual private equity and venture capital participations, as well as the performance of the consolidated investment portfolio. The outcome of the project consisted of a report on the historical performance, recommendations on the investment strategy and a management tool to track financial performance (valuation, IRR, money multiple, business plans,…) of the portfolio investments.

Business Development Manager

At Hydrex and Subsea Industries, I closely cooperated with the management and owner to develop the start-up of an innovative coating system for the maritime sector. As business development manager, this exciting job included the drafting of the business plan, sales and marketing, project management of the first vessel to be equipped with the coating system etc.
