After spending 5 years angel investing, we raised our first institutional fund in late 2017. Supernode Ventures combines everything I learned as a business journalist and successful founder. We truly bring the power of connecting to venture. We make direct introductions on behalf of our portfolio founders, leveraging our massive network in media, finance and industry. Our investments include: Braze, Covalto, Electric.ai, DeepScribe.ai, Habi.co, Shabodi, Allocate.co, PassportShipping, VerbEnergy.co and Wallaroo Labs, among others.

1997 - 2011

During my time as CEO of mediabistro.com, I pulled the company through two recessions, added new revenue streams, developed audience online via social marketing (before there was a name for it), grew profitable and negotiated the sale for $23 mm to Jupitermedia. I owned the majority stake in the company when it was sold. mediabistro’s services included job listings, online education, events and industry-specific blogs, such as the popular TVNewser.
