Growing through experiencing the ways of the world

2011 - 2012

  • Gap-Year / Travel

    2011 - 2012

Took a year off to travel and volunteer my time through various development projects and grow out of my comfort zone while experiencing the ways of the world. Coming across challenges in foreign lands and having to deal with conflict on the spot taught me how to problem solve and to think on my feet. I gained an extensive international travel background, used up all the pages of my passport and expanded both my economic and cultural views through this self-funded solo trip across greater Europe and Asia. Without a doubt, this experience grew me in spades and further honed my communication skills. It also taught me the art of humanizing and the importance of creating a sense of relatability when telling a story which has really helped me soar high in my professional life.
