Responsibilities include delivering a comprehensive strategy focused on media relations to promote our research excellence, our capabilities, our collaborations with industry and government, our work in supporting the local startup scene and establishing our thought-leadership profiles across vertical industries. Also responsible for supporting internal and partner events, ministerial liaison, and drafting Data61 collateral including releases, newsletters, speech notes and presentations. Provided counsel and support across social media (CSIRO blog, Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn).

I joined Red Agency as an Account Manager back in 2010, and was promoted steadily to an Associate Director, managing the Sydney and Brisbane offices. I was also responsible for client servicing and new business development. Clients include unified communications and collaboration services provider Mitel, HTC, Capgemini, SuccessFactors (an SAP company), Concur, Google, YouTube, Fairfax Digital (Stayz), AT&T, secure identity management platform Okta, Kingston Technology, Indiegogo (crowdfunding platform), Parrot (in-car handsfree systems and creators of the popular AR.Drone flying quadricopter), tech recruitment firm Talent International and other IT&T clients including Tellabs, janusNET, NavGuard, Continuum Communications, Openbravo, CingleVue, MEX, SponsoredLinX.
