Louis (Lou) Schick is the Director of Investments for Clean Energy Ventures. Over his career, he has built deep skills in energy technology as well as extensive investing experience. He brings more than twenty years of experience as a technologist in large and small companies and investing in early and growth stage companies. In his investing role Mr. Schick worked with deal teams to source, screen and diligence new investments, as well as supporting portfolio companies on technology, markets, strategy and commercialization.

NewWorld Capital Group is a private equity firm invested in the environmental opportunities sector- companies and project portfolio's that improve resource productivity. http://www.newworldcapital.net/ As part of my role I serve as a sort of Chief Technology Officer for NewWorld. This involves screening and identifying technical risks in selling and servicing associated with our investments. I share webinars on topics of interest to investors in our space and have a library of about sixty seminars covering topics including LED's, Solar Power, Energy Efficiency, Nuclear Fusion, Internet of Things and many more. One of the methods I use to keep up to date, see more deal flow and learn about markets and policies outside but adjacent our usual focus is to have relationships with sister firms. In particular I have benefited from near weekly calls and dozens of deal evaluations with my colleague Fred Chang of Qomo Capital. Fred Works closely with NDRC and several large Chinese companies and regional governments. He also serves on NewWorld advisory Council.
