I co-founded SolarCity in July 2006 with the goal of significantly reducing the cost of solar power and building a trusted national brand adopted by millions of homes. In its first full year of operation, SolarCity became the largest residential solar power provider in California, and by early 2008, SolarCity was a full-service solar power company—providing design, financing, installation,and monitoring services.
