Responsible for improving Skypes call quality. * Implemented telemetry collection and reporting. * Lead the research and evaluation of various ways for improving the quality of Skype to Skype and Skype to PSTN calls. * Evaluated quality measurement tools from Opticom, Swissqual, Head Accoustics, etc * Conducted technical due diligence on various inbound license agreements

Quality Assurance Team Lead

* Built up the entire QA organization from just myself to 25 engineers in 5 departments at 3 different sites. * Being the first QA engineer hired to Skype my duties included: ** testing the different modules of Skype software such as: *** Graphical user interface (including usability testing/hallway studies) *** Peer-to-Peer stack (call routing, NAT traversal, etc) *** www.skype.com (testing our website) *** testing backend services (user management, paid services, etc) ** Developing and maintaining processes and polices *** Bug management process *** Developing buildscripts for repeatable automated build procedures (Perl and shell scripting) * Managing the QA team at Skype * Implemented various automated test systems using Bash and Python * On my spare time I was developing the Installer for Skype for Windows
