I built and led the Legal and Compliance functions for Dragos, an industrial (OT/ICS/IIoT) cybersecurity company, during period of ongoing 100%+ year-over-year growth during which Dragos reached, then exceeded, unicorn status. - Managed record-breaking $200M Series D funding round at a valuation of $1.7 billion, the largest funding round and the highest valuation achieved by any OT cybersecurity company. - Led incorporation and operationalization of international subsidiaries in the United Kingdom, Canada, Germany, United Arab Emirates, and Saudi Arabia, serving on Board of Directors of subsidiaries in United Kingdom, Canada, and Germany. - Served as chair of the Governance, Risk, and Compliance Committee, drafting bylaws and developing quarterly reporting objectives as well as reporting to Board of Directors on same. - Reduced overall legal spend through expansion and development of internal team expertise, scalability improvements, and strategic approach to outside counsel usage. - Developed law firm partnership program focused on incident response, industry education, and proactive engagements, including architecture reviews and penetration testing. - Developed intellectual property strategy and grew international intellectual property portfolio. - Partnered across company in diligence and negotiation process for inbound acquisitions. - Managed FLSA audit and resultant employee reclassification process. - Worked with sales team to create global channel sales program scalable in current and planned target geographic regions. - Supervised interteam internal and external response to cybersecurity event and attempted extortion against company.
