Working to coordinate the legislative outreach response during the Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill in the Gulf of Macondo, and prepare draft legislation to amend the Clean Water Act - expanding NOAA and EPA jurisdiction over drilling and oversight of drilling activities in the Outer Continental Shelf (OCS). Additional work took place with the Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP) within the Office of the President of the United States. Activities were focused on the civilian applications and investments in GPS and NPT systems across multiple agencies within the federal government.
