    Starting a company can be a scary task, and this is especially true when it's a science company. As the Velocity Science Coach, I mentor early-stage science startups and aspiring entrepreneurs, and help them through the initial stages of their venture. This includes organizing workshops featuring founders of MedTech companies, running a series of workshops on finding a problem that's worth solving, and conducting one-on-one meetings with early-stage entrepreneurs to discuss their progress.

  • Residence Life Don

    A Residence Life Don is responsible for fostering a safe community in residence and encouraging positive development. The position involves planning monthly and bi-weekly events to get first-year students interacting and allow them to explore university life in a safe manner. Each Don is responsible for 55 students, and can act as a resource for students when they need help. The training prepares the Dons to deal with a wide variety of sensitive situations, allowing them to direct students to the appropriate resources available on campus.

    • Worked with UMR 106 cells to test a new PTH treatment for controlling low blood calcium (hypocalcemia) in people with low parathyroid hormone blood levels (hypoparathyroidism) • Work resulted in the commercialization of NATPARA
