Discovered direct interactions between dopamine (important for movement, reward and cognition) and GABA(A) receptors (which inhibit neurons to precisely control information flow in the brain). My article was featured in "This Week in the Journal of Neuroscience." I learned a variety of technical and problem-solving skills, including consistent approaches to hypothesis testing and cutting-edge biochemical and neuroscience techniques.
