Managed a team of talented students creating robust generalized controllers for autonomous operation of USVs. We implemented the given controllers in software and successfully tested the controller implementation on a USV research vessel provided by FFI (Norwegian Defence Research Establishment).

We were given a unmanned surface vessel (USV) which we equipped with high-end KONGSBERG equipment like the 2040P echo sounder system. In addition we designed a autonomous control system for the vessel. Eventually the product ended in an autonomous surface vessel (ASV) capable of seabed mapping of given sectors. The product was successfully demonstrated in front of the management of KM and FFI after 8 weeks of design and testing.
