Head of North American Business

Steakholder Foods is pioneering the future of food production through its state-of-the-art 3D bioprinter systems, specially formulated plant-based inks, and expertise in cell-cultured animal protein. As the contract Head of the North American business, I led the expansion of the Steakholder brand into the U.S. market. Some of the activities included leading the execution of the company's first tasting event outside of Israel, developing partnerships with relevant corporate F&B companies, and managing existing and new investor relations, including supporting a capital raise at the beginning of 2023.

Retired in 2021, Food-X was the first and most active early-stage accelerator program focused on modernizing and improving the global food system. Investing in companies from AgTech to Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG), Food-X focused on supporting entrepreneurs at the earliest stages of their journey through capital investments, a structured 4-month program of mentorship, and access to a wide-ranging network of stakeholders. As the Partner and Director of the program, I was the face of the program. I was responsible for everything from constantly refining our investment thesis, sourcing deals globally, developing a diligence model, curriculum design, developing and engaging the broadest community of founders, investors, mentors, and corporate partners in the food tech industry. Most importantly, though, I did my best to manage an extensive portfolio of companies in a way that allowed me to personally be a resource for the founders who let us join their journey. My tenure at Food-X culminated in the program's most successful investment period during its time as part of the SOSV family. Select investments include The Abbot's Butcher, Bramble, Fieldcraft, Halla.io, Living Food Company, Lula, Milk Moovement, Mori, Rx-Diet, Simply Good Jars, and Uplift Foods.

SOSV is a global venture capital firm providing multi-stage investment to develop and scale our founders’ big ideas for positive change. SOSV invests in 150 companies every year through category-leading startup development programs. In my role as Partner, I led investment decisions along with the General Partner for our food system accelerator, Food-X. In addition to the investment responsibilities within our program, I was a resource for our capital formation group, led corporate partnership negotiations, and helped the firm nearly triple its AUM.
