Product Manager
2020 - 2021
Responsible for product direction and expanding customer base to emerging markets. 60Hertz is a microgrid maintenance software company. Their software is for technicians who maintain essential power assets at sites that range from emerging market mini-girds and diesel backup power for critical infrastructure to non-traditional microgrids like maritime vessels. The software offers a customer-customized checklist for maintenance techs responsible for remote sites. They can help track inventory, assign duties, efficiently report on the values necessary for stakeholders. Personally, I believe that a culture of maintenance will be important for energy access microgrid operators as they establish their place in the utility sector as reliable and efficient providers of electricity.
2012 - 2015
Sustainability Consultant
2012 - 2015
Worked in the Impact Assessment and Performance and Assurance Practice. Have supported large environmental and social impact assessments by organizing stakeholder interviews, leading survey teams, collating data, and writing reports. Gained experience supporting data collection and conducting analysis for an industry group's ongoing sustainability reporting program. Have conducted both compliance and risk-based assessments in the power and agriculture sectors. Managed various aspects of large projects including coordinating project work, planning deliverables, communicating with the client, and managing the financial aspects of the project.
2011 - 2012
Researcher
2011 - 2012
Conducted thesis work, which involved developing a sustainable solar headlamp for medical attendees in developing rural areas. Created a prototype that involved local labor and materials as much as possible. Project goal was to create a product that will be more easily integrated into the local culture, and will therefore, increase the lifetime of the product. Am working on obtaining an open-source hardware license for the device, and am continuing to develop the prototype.

Assisted Kristin with daily tasks, but was also given the lead on the following projects: Streamlined permitting process for solar hot water with a Philadelphia-specific solar hot water guide in mind, researched the potential for 'solar hot spots' in the city, and the solar PV web video tutorials. Learned and critiqued Hara, the new energy database management system, maintained the solar virtual tour, created and edited newsletters, and -like a good intern- filed business cards.
2010 - 2010
