On February 22nd, 2024, GLL made history by being one of the only 6 private companies that sent and landed a commercial payload on the moon's surface. GLL flew with the Intuitive Machines Nova - C lunar lander, named Odysseus, that lifted off on a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket from the Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral at 1:05 EST on February 15th. The payload, called The Lunaprise, is a backup archive for the human civilization of history, culture, arts, languages, religions, philosophy, science, and personal contributions in images and text. GLL has been a part of the first private spacecraft ever to land softly on the Moon — and the first American vehicle to do so since the final Apollo mission in 1972.
