    Part of a small team managing ~$3B of risky assets which are invested in equity managers, hedge funds, and private equity styled funds (Real Estate, Private Credit, Infrastructure, etc.).     Attalus Capital had two Fund of Fund products - a Multi-Strategy product and an Equity Long/Short product. My main responsibilities included portfolio construction and risk management as well as assisting in Hedge Fund due diligence. I built various portfolio management and risk analysis tools in both Excel and MatLab to help the team focus their due diligence on appropriate managers and size positions properly. I also monitored performance and exposures. Finally, I sourced several hedge funds, mainly on the ELS side, and performed due diligenced on the managers, one of whom we invested in and has consistently outperformed its benchmark over the past three years since investment.

I taught myself Visual Basic and completely re-built the software they needed, continually updating Arlen with my progress and adding in new functionality as requested. Separately, I also optimized their client database to account for a new fee structure and improve reports.
