Headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, the company has quickly gained a reputation for innovation in the field of 3D imaging and its application to biometrics and forensic science applications. I have played a role in product management, product design, electrical engineering, software development and image processing at the company.

    Adjunct professor in the Entrepreneurship Department I teach the upper level Entrepreneurial Strategies and Planning course. This course has a focus on the steps beyond building out the the lean or business model canvas. There is a continued focus on the customer development process through in person customer interviews. The goal is to continue the validation of product market fit while looking further ahead toward next steps on the tactical side of building a sustainable business model.

    The primary goal of NSF I-Corps is to foster entrepreneurship that will lead to the commercialization of technology that has been supported previously by NSF-funded research. The NSF-funded research for which the investigation into commercial viability is the application of image processing and computer vision to digitized and stained biopsy slides for identification and classification. Currently the research has shown great results for H&E stained digitized histopathology slides for prostate cancer. The same algorithms applied to other stains and cancers have shown promising results as well. As the entrepreneurial lead I am responsible for leading the team during our investigation into the commercialization of the technology.

    Asked to come in as an adjunct professor to teach ENTR 3341. ENTR 3341 is an entrepreneurship class focused around teaching lean startup methodologies. The class followed Steve Blank's "The Startup Owner's Manual" and began by building a business model canvas. Through the class items on the business model canvas were validated or invalidated through customer interviews. Student companies ranged from early ideation stage to companies that already had customers buying product. Throughout the class I brought in alumni working on startups to share their founder's stories.

    I organized a monthly meetup that is a place for entrepreneurs, technologists, tech companies and tech startups to showcase the latest technology they are developing in San Antonio. I started and grew the group to 700+ members on meetup.com

    I built the structure around the fund, it's mission, goals and processes. On an ongoing basis, I facilitated the board review meetings to analyze applicants each month, corresponding between the review board members and the companies under review. Additionally, I work with accepted companies to complete necessary paperwork and report to the LPs and GP of the fund.
