    Early member of an innovative new office in the U.S. State Department created to transform the way the United States conducted foreign policy in failed and failing states. Held many positions from intern to Deputy Team leader for an 8 member diplomatic team on-call to respond to any crisis or conflict around the world. Focused primarily on the development of strategic and operational processes with a regional focus on the Middle East and South and Central Asia. Specific assignments include: -Co-founding the Kandahar City Stabilization Cell; directed all Diplomatic, Development, Reconstruction and Governance efforts and ensured adequate coordination with Afghan municipal and NATO counterparts for one fifth of Kandahar City. -Managing the day-to-day operations of the Kandahar Provincial Reconstruction Team during its transition from a Canadian to an American led PRT and the 2010 troop surge. -Leading representatives from 11 different government agencies in the development of decision matrices, contingency and operational plans for senior US Government officials for the US Government's initial response to the 2010 Earthquake in Haiti -Advising the Pakistani Government's development of a $36 million counterinsurgency strategy to mitigate and counter the effects of the 2009 Taliban operation in the Malakand Division of Pakistan (Swat valley). -Expanding the diplomatic engagement of Consulate General Karachi, Pakistan to include political, economic and conflict analysis of Karachi, Balochistan province and its Capitol of Quetta. - Co-lead a team of 9 civilian experts during EUCOM's Austere Challenge 2009, a military joint task force certification exercise designed to test and evaluate experimental civil-military processes.

    - Dismounted team leader for an experimental reconnaissance, surveillance and target acquisition (RSTA) squadron - Deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom (Sept 2004-Sept 2005) - Conducted over 300 direct action and reconnaissance missions as a part of regular army and special operations taskforces in Fallujah, Baghdad and Mosul.
