Teaching Startup Lab: How to Build a Scalable Startup class to students in the new BS in Business, Technology and Entrepreneurship (BTE) degree program. This course provides real world, hands-on learning on what its like to start a new venture. Startup Lab is a practical class — essentially a lab. The goal is to create a simulated entrepreneurial experience for students with all the pressures and demands of a real world early stage startup within the constraints of the classroom setting. Emily also co-designed and co-taught the first iteration of Fundamentals of Entrepreneurship: The Entrepreneurial Mindset to undergraduate students in the new BS in Business, Technology and Entrepreneurship (BTE) degree program.

Teaching Lean Launchpad class to graduate computer science students at NYU in the MS-CEI program earning a Master's degree in Computing, Entrepreneurship and Innovation. The course is designed for computer science students and technology professionals interested in pursuing entrepreneurship or assuming leadership roles in innovative technology based organizations. The MS-CEI students will go through various stages of technological entrepreneurship including problem conceptualization, idea incubation, product development, pilot deployment and effectiveness evaluation towards nurturing them to pursue their concepts into realities.

During Emily's time as Entrepreneur-in-Residence at the Citrix Startup Accelerator, she served as a Curriculum Designer for the Citrix Innovators Program and Design Thinking/Lean Startup Coach. • Designed curriculum for a 12-week Design Thinking and Lean focused accelerator program in collaboration with the Citrix Customer Experience and Startup Accelerator teams • Taught intensive 3-day Lean/Design Thinking boot-camps in Sydney, Redmond, Raleigh, and Santa Clara • Coached 18 enterprise-focused startups and several internal teams through early stages of customer discovery – introducing them to a variety of ethnographic research techniques (interviewing, surveying, etc.)
