Taught healthcare entrepreneurship in the Healthcare Management Department at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. The course focused on the creation, funding, and management of healthcare enterprises. The course is designed to supplement other offerings in the departments for those students with an entrepreneurial interest in such ventures and focuses on special issues surrounding the conceptualization, planning, diligence and capitalization, launch, compensation, and management of these ventures. In addition, the course offers methods for self-assessment and development of business models and plans, techniques for technology assessment and strategy, develops a foundation for capitalization and partnering strategies, and creates a basis for best practices in company launch and plan execution.

Upward Health raised Series A from leading venture firms including BCBS Venture Partners, Windham Ventures, Acumen, and Greenspring Associates; Acquired Nalari Health LLC in October 2017 to launch the company's first customer and program; Recruited initial executive team including permanent CEO, CBO, VP Technology, and others.; Initiated and led sales/contracting with additional customers in other geographies.

The RightCare software, which is fully interoperable with all major EHR systems, assesses the risk and needs for all patients at admission, recommends the right level of post-acute care services, automates referrals to post-acute care providers, and enables in-depth tracking and monitoring of high-risk patients across the continuum of care, including in the home.
