With over 15 years experience in the digital content business, I am currently serving as a Manager of the representative office in Silicon Valley at The Asahi Shimbun Media Lab, which is the open innovation office, to start new exciting businesses for the newspaper. I previously worked for a photonics labs of the NTT, a leading telecom company in Japan, as a research scientist of semiconductor laser diode for optical amplifier. I also engaged in research on quantum wires/dots and photonic crystal structures. I received a B.S. degree from University of Electro Communications, a M.S. from Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology in 1993 and 1995, respectively.
