    Spent this time primarily in the Risk Management division, half of which was spent with the Bank and Sovereigns team and the other half in the Funds team. My role involved giving risk ratings to different entities which would determine the limits to which RBC were able to trade with them. Also worked with the Sales and Trading desks, learning about the different financial models and concepts used.

  • Co-head of Catering

    2016 - 2017

    This involved finding and developing relationships with food vendors to sell their produce at the event. In order to find relevant vendors who matched the festivals target audience, we carried out market research within the Cambridge community. We then had to negotiate prices with the vendors, aiming to maximise the festivals profits. In the run up to the festival we organised logistics for the smooth running of the catering area. The catering area was a key part of the festival's success.

    I assisted with research in order to help conduct and market events within the aviation industry. This involved writing up draft programmes by researching topic names, finding and contacting relavent speakers and sponsors and formulating invitation letters. It also allowed me to immerse myself in the Chinese culture and to learn differenting business techniques between the UK and China. I had the chance to attend a conference in Shanghai where I was responsibile for taking notes from top speakers in the industry.
