In partnership with UNCF, conducted research on the HBCU tech, innovation, and entrepreneurship ecosystem. Interviewed stakeholders, transcribed interviews and mapped collected data. Since the racial justice uprising in Summer 2020, billions of dollars have been committed to supporting black causes - especially the HBCU tech, innovation, and entrepreneurship ecosystem. But what impact will this support make? Where do we currently sit? What are the strengths of the ecosystem? The opportunities to collaborate? The gaps? The trends? We will discuss the findings at the inaugural State of the HBCU Innovation Ecosystem during the White House HBCU Week in September, and release the final report at the end of 2021.
