    Senior, hands-on role, working with the Balderton Partners and the portfolio companies to support them with best in class talent management solutions. I was directly responsible for Balderton internal hiring; 25 hires in a total team of 35, including 2 new General Partners. We built a service proposition which sits alongside the investment team; a dedicated, on-tap resource for all portfolios companies which aims to help them improve their ability to hire great talent. I would consult, guide and advise the portfolio on a wide range of talent acquisition challenges, both strategically and tactically. In 2014 we helped over 45 portfolio companies make more than 100 new hires; year on year we helped Balderton companies hire at least 1 person every week. The Talent@Balderton service proposition includes: - Supporting the portfolio companies with hiring strategies (including direct approach, external partner recommendations, referrals, introductions and use of business and social networks); - Developing a supplier eco-system Europe/US, including negotiating preferred terms for Balderton portfolio companies; - Being a go-to resource for direct advice or referral to others on a wide range of talent acquisition challenges, including leadership & organisational design, employer branding, culture & retention, virtual communities, compensation, building pipelines and sourcing talent via disruptive channels. - Education and knowledge sharing on all things talent acquisition and HR, across the portfolio group. This includes a private forum for communication, bespoke workshops, tools and intel.
