I helped manage a program that touches over 2,000 students per year through mentorship, classes, workshops, startup incubators, and events. I spent half of my time mentoring around 300 students 1:1 - helping them navigate Berkeley's ecosystem and talking through problems they faced with an early stage idea or startup. The other half was performing operational tasks like supporting demo days, events, and reporting needs for donors. I also engaged with key stakeholders across the vast Berkeley ecosystem of more than 40 entrepreneurship related programs to create increased awareness, cohesion, and collaboration. Teams that graduated from our programming have gone on to raise more than $100M in investment and create thousands of jobs thus far.

I was primarily a deal analyst for Ironfire ventures but we also put together a large report for UC Berkeley on the state of innovation and entrepreneurship where we interviewed 110 stakeholders ranging from students to Nobel Laureates on their perception of the Cal innovation ecosystem. In my analyst role I attended 5+ demo days, interviewed 25+ startups, and supported their FT analyst in performing global market research in the proptech space. We subsequently presented that report to the firm's General Partners.

Spun out of a class, a handful of us wanted to see how far we could take this project. We learned some valuable lessons about storytelling, customer discovery (having interviewed 100+ parents), Hardware development (prototyped with 3d printing, and Arduino boards, we went to Shenzhen to explore factories, and had a team in Ukraine build us an MVP after having exceeded the Arduino capabilities). I managed most of the project. Hiring freelancers, managing engineers, working with the rest of the team to design the product and do customer discovery. It was an incredible (accelerated) learning experience. Here's the problem/solution we worked on: Parenting is one of the most challenging, rewarding and often overlooked jobs. We are helping parents through the process, ensuring their child's health and education remain a top priority. Cuddle Cub, our first product, is a teddy bear that provides sleep training and tracking features. It communicates via bluetooth to an associated application which aids parents in: - Educating their children about the importance of sleep - Instilling a bedtime routine in their children to ease them into a restful sleep - Forming healthy sleep habits with and for their children - Tracking sleep to provide actionable sleep data, empowering parents to make informed day to day decisions for their children - Keeping a historical record of sleep data to provide to pediatricians should any reason/concern arise

Worked directly with the head of business development to create a report on how Qolsys could provide more value to customers and generate more revenue through their new in-home security panel. Interviewed different stakeholders and business functions in order to understand where there might be an opportunity. I prepared a 30 minute presentation and reported my findings to the CEO and board of directors during a board meeting.

Electrical engineering manager in maintaining the SPY1/D air search RADAR system at an optimal level of performance. Solving electrical, mechanical and cooling issues. Acting as the operator of the system while at sea. Determining and implementing the best use of the radars capabilities for a given situation. Responsible for radar supply logistics, to include parts ordering, inventory and returns. Oversaw the workload distribution of work-center employees. Also held the position as the primary surface search and rescue swimmer onboard. One of two required SAR swimmers for the ship to get underway. Training constantly on rescue procedures for varying situations as well as administering initial medical treatment.
