Litigated patent matters across multiple forums, including the Federal Circuit, Patent Trial and Appeal Board, the International Trade Commission, and district courts nationwide. Served as counsel across dozens of IPRs, achieving numerous successful outcomes. International Trade Commission counsel for Lighting Science Group in infringement actions against ten of the world’s largest LED lighting manufacturers. Responsibilities extended to nearly all aspects of the case, including pre-filing investigation, domestic industry and validity reports, and 30(b)(6) and expert depositions.

2016 - 2017

Represented the State of Texas in high-stakes cases against the federal and local governments. Authored a motion for summary judgment on behalf of six states that resulted in a return of $839 million in fees paid to the federal government. Drafted motion for summary judgment that, after appeal, resulted in invalidation of Austin ordinance restricting right to lease homes for short durations.

Litigated cases involving federalism, property rights, free speech, and administrative law. Delivered speeches to nonprofit and political groups to publicize efforts to counteract government abuse. Authored op-eds published by Fox News, the Washington Times, and the Daily Caller.
