As co-inventor of Tempus One, our AI-enabled clinical assistant, I lead our operational efforts to scale the use of this technology across our oncology provider network to enable precision medicine. Tempus One gives clinicians easier access to molecular and clinical data and improves their ability to make data-driven treatment decisions on behalf of their patients. As Director of Product, I created and led the clinical data structuring program which includes the development of advanced tools and technologies to convert text buried inside oncology notes, pathology reports, and radiology reports into structured data that can be used for research, analysis, quality metrics reporting and clinical decision support. A team of trained abstractors use a custom toolset, optical character recognition (OCR), natural language processing (NLP) tools, and automation to structure, clean and standardize data.
 https://www.tempus.com/clinical-data-structuring/ Additionally, I created and led the product development for our clinical trial matching program that allows a patient’s sequenced molecular data and clinical history to be compared against participating trials structured inclusion and exclusion criteria through our proprietary trial matching software and methods. This technology is used in support of the TIME Trial Program, a just-in-time network of providers to support rapid patient identification, site activation, and enrollment of select clinical trials. Through the TIME Trial Program, 2,600 oncologists and their patients have unprecedented access to a large portfolio of cutting-edge precision medicine trials.
