I co-led a significant turnaround in nearly every aspect of the company. Among other achievements, we attracted a stronger management team, we refocused the firm’s strategy and pipeline, we updated and optimized production facilities, we improved corporate governance and we improved and broadened relationships with clients, suppliers, authorities and financial institutions.

Transactions and mandates advised on included: - Sale by Arab Banking Corporation of controlling stake in Banco Atlantico to Banco Sabadell for EUR1.5bn; - Sale of BCP's Seguros e Pensões insurance group, the largest insurer in Portugal, to CGD (EUR357m for 100% of the non-life insurance companies) and to Fortis (EUR450m for 50% of the life insurance companies): - Advised Aviva in their bancassurance joint ventures with Spanish savings banks – Bancaja, Unicaja, Caixa Galicia, Caja España, and Caja Granada, deals totaling over EUR1.0bn; Sale of Aviva's Spanish non-life operations to Groupama for EUR241m.
