    Elite HRV built a Heart Rate Variability (HRV) device, app, and data analytics platform that is trusted by more than 1,000,000 users in 70+ countries and is used by doctors, coaches, pro athletes, olympians, health/peak performance seekers, etc. Elite HRV probably has the largest HRV dataset in the world. There are tremendous opportunities to apply AI and machine learning to unlock many commercial use cases based on HRV to help improve people's health, wellbeing, performance, and quality of life.

Lead development of a new product for mapping and localization with $1.6M grant from NSF (served as the Principal Investigator) by using SLAM and sensor fusion of GPS and INU, WiFi, and RF measurements and applying Kalman, Particle filters, and machine learning Lead development of an intelligent transportation system under a $600K contract with the US Department of Transportation for the development of an accessible navigation system by using computer vision and deep learning 13 patents granted in mapping, localization, and sensor fusion (with 370+ citations) Received awards including $500K Global Security Challenge 1st place award by the Department of Homeland Security (2008), Tibbetts Award from The U.S. Small Business Administration (2012), Edison Silver Award (2015), Red Herring Top 100 (2014)

    Techno-sciences (acquired by McMurdo) is an advanced technology development company and global leader in search and rescue satellite aided tracking. Developed a sensor fusion (of radar, AIS, camera, and GPS measurements) and anomaly detection algorithm for a maritime remote sensing and surveillance system contracted by the US Navy for $100M+ to enhance detection, tracking, and monitoring of vessels passing through the 500-mile Strait of Malacca in Indonesia. Used Machine Learning to develop predictive and preventive maintenance solutions for a manufacturing/industrial application for US Mint to increase efficiency and reduce operation costs and downtime. Developed a prototype for a navigation unit based on time series analysis of sensor data and using optical flow tracking from video camera.

    As a member of the "Smart Dust" project, I conducted research in a multi-disciplinary project to develop algorithms for estimation, classification, and localization tasks in self-organizing wireless sensor networks I also taught a course in Numerical Techniques in Engineering.

    I developed 1) a software for designing controllers for Dupont's "Control and Dynamic Systems" division to facilitate the design of industrial Model Predictive Controllers (MPC) 2) a software to pull real-time data from one of DuPont’s manufacturing lines and perform data analysis. DuPont is a fortune 100 company and the world's third largest chemical company.
