My main areas of research during the program included the scalability of solar-powered mini-grids in Sub-Saharan Africa and Central America and variations on traditional geothermal technology.

My practice there focused on ICSID and ICC disputes relating to energy and infrastructure projects, particularly with respect to the valuation of damages, as well as general corporate law.

The Timor-Leste Legal Education Project is a partnership among Stanford Law School, the National University of Timor-Leste, and The Asia Foundation that provides accessible textbooks on Timorese law. As an early participant, I developed and implemented a strategic plan for the project and co-authored a textbook on Timorese contract law.
