    Chief Operations Officer & Chief Financial Officer of an organization established by the state legislature in 2004 to help grow the bioscience sector into a pillar of the Kansas economy. The KBA invests in the bioscience sectors in which Kansas has established leadership and expertise: Animal Health, Human Health, Ag and Bio-based products, and Bioenergy. The KBA has recently implemented a strategic shift to a market-based, sustainable financial model through investment strategy with matching private capital invested in the state. I am responsible for the establishment, implementation, and monitoring of the financial, accounting, and related information systems. I also monitor the income and investment management policies and work closely with investment managers retained by the KBA. Responsibilities also include annual audit, financial statements, third party financial relationships, and strategic planning.
