Ring Ventures, named for the honored Aggie Ring, is a fund and a community of people with a connection to Texas A&M University (Ring Ventures is not part of nor endorsed by TAMU): investors, entrepreneurs and innovation enthusiasts. As one of the funds of the Alumni Ventures Group (AVG) we enable individual investors to participate in the Venture Capital category. Texas A&M Former Students invest between fifty-thousand to several million dollars each for long-term capital appreciation, retirement or estate purposes. Investors can even use self-directed IRA funds. Each Ring Ventures fund enables a limited number of investors access to a portfolio of ~20 growth companies in diverse sectors and geography. The network of Aggies also alerts the fund to interesting Aggie-led businesses that may be candidates for investment. The fund invests in deals that are best for the portfolio, regardless of sector, stage, geography or school affiliation. We follow firms such as Andreessen Horowitz, Bessemer, Lightspeed, Menlo Ventures, Kleiner Perkins, NEA, Shasta, and Sequoia. Ring Ventures works closely with the McFerrin Center for Entrepreneurship of the TAMU Mays School of Business by offering coaching and program participation for current and former students. Olono was acquired by InsightSquared. Fantastic merger and right for both our customer bases. Revenue Ops just took a huge leap forward with our combined offering. Olono is changing the way sales professionals work with the industry’s first proactive enterprise sales tool. Think of us as “your personal sales sidekick.” AND, it works with your existing CRM as the System of Record (Salesforce and Oracle Sales Cloud). Olono is harnessing its Big Data-driven artificial intelligence and predictive analytics platform to transform the CRM industry, moving from data entry to an intelligent, proactive sales engine. We call it “Guided Selling”. The Olono solution enables both sales managers and sales reps to understand all of the interconnectivty of information across ALL of the apps they use: Salesforce, email, LinkedIn, Box, Google Drive, internal systems and more. It highlights needed responses, provides suggested next actions and reports on what events in the sales process actually contribute to closing deals. It is all about improving sales effectiveness.

Was brought into Boundary, Inc. as Interim President to determine the best go-forward business plan. It was ultimately determined that it would be the best outcome for customers, employees and investors to accept an acquisition offer by BMC. That transaction closed in mid August, 2015. BMC has done well with this technology.
