The Board establishes broad policies to ensure that the school meets the highest standards of service to its constituents. Day-to-day operation of CIS is the responsibility of the Headmaster, who works closely with the Leadership Team. CIS is accredited by both the Council of International Schools (CIS) and New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC). It is also a member of the Association of China and Mongolia International Schools (ACAMIS) and the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS).
